Moving Box Rental FAQ - Tote Kenosha
Can I get more Totes?
We will gladly drop-off additional boxes. Simply contact us during the rental period to let us know how many more boxes you need. The cost is $5 per box and $15 per dolly and we charge a $30 re-delivery fee or pick up with our partner at Ship Kenosha.
What is the size of the Totes
Our totes are 25" x 15" x 11" and hold 17 gallons — roomy enough for books, kitchen items, and everyday household goods, yet easy to stack and carry. Each standard size bin is equivalent to a large cardboard box. In our experience, this is the perfect size box for any move!
Does someone need to be present for delivery?
Yes, in most cases someone over the age of 18 needs to be present to sign for and accept the delivery.
Will Tote Kenosha bring the Totes inside?
Nope! Tote Kenosha is a door to door delivery service. That means we drop off your items at the nearest accessible point outside your home or apartment—typically your driveway, garage, or the door to your unit. We don’t carry items inside your home or apartment.
What if I need additional time, can I extend my rental period?
No problem! Simply let our team know before the pick-up date that you need to extend the rental window, and by how long, and we’ll make it happen. You will simply be charged extra for every week that you keep the boxes beyond what you’ve already paid for.
Can I cancel my order?
You can cancel your order anytime up to 48 hours before the pre-scheduled delivery date for free. If you need to cancel within less than 48 hours notice, there is a $50 convenience fee. If you have already received the boxes and need to cancel your order post-delivery, that is fine too, we simply charge a $99 re-stocking fee.
What happens if a Tote is Lost or Damaged?
We charge a $30 fee for each lost box and a $75 fee for each lost/damaged dolly. Equipment will be counted by our local team during the pick-up process.
How does delivery and pick up work? Are there any Delivery Fee's?
Tote Kenosha delivers clean, reusable moving totes and a dolly to your Kenosha or Racine address at your scheduled delivery time. Delivery INCLUDED! After your move is complete, we pick everything up from your new location - no cleaning required! We professionally clean and sanitize all our moving totes between rentals. If your address is outside our main operating zone, just let us know and we will provide the cost of gas & time.
How quickly do I need to book?
The earlier, the better! Booking ahead ensures we have your totes ready and waiting. As a general guide: rentals of 20–40 totes can be reserved as little as 48 hours before your delivery date (based on availability), while orders of 50 or more totes require a minimum of 4 days' notice. If your move date is flexible, we recommend booking as soon as you know it — especially during busy moving season.
Can I get a RUSH? Within 24 hr notice?
Great question! As long as we have the inventory and time then yes, you can. A small gotcha… a rush order charge of 20% of the rental price will be added. Also, you’ll need to call. Our online checkout process won’t allow for orders that soon.
